Join In or Just Watch How Things Go!
Jumping into a new community can be overwhelming so I encourage you to watch a replay where you can see the live on-screen chat to get a feel for how the community interacts. Then, jump into a live show and just watch what is going on. If you watch a replay you’ll see we have new people jump in all the time and everyone is always warmly welcomed and if I see you comment I will definitely give you a shout out and welcome you to the stream or channel!
Ask Your Questions Live On The Show
If you want to ask a question just put QUESTION before your comment to make it stand out. When I see it I will copy and past your question into a “slide” and then present it to everyone live on-screen to open it up for discussion. I’ll give you my experience and advice or direct you to a source that can help you with your question. If for some reason I don’t see your question please mention it again so that I notice it. Sometimes when multitasking it is easy to miss comments and your questions are important to me and I do not want to miss it. If I do miss your question it’s nothing personal sometimes I just miss them. When I review the replays later I often notice questions and comments that I completely miss during the live show. So if I miss your comment or question it’s not personal it is just in the heat of the conversation I sometimes miss individual comments.
Super Chats are Super!
YouTube has implemented a Super Chat feature that accomplishes two things. First it provides and opportunity for the community to support the channel with a monetary donation. This can be a bit intimidating at first as it requires you to setup a payment method through Google/YouTube but it is the only way YouTube allows viewer to support their favorite YouTubers. The second thing it provides is a way to highlight your comment. When you “buy” a Super Chat it will highlight your message and keep your name front and center and make sure that I see your comment or question. I will do my best to answer all “free” questions but this is one way to guarantee your message is discussed.
